John Hopfield and Geoffrey Hinton laid the groundwork for AI and won the Nobel. It’s brave of them to raise concerns over potential spiralling of deep-learning, a revolution they fuelled, at a time their efforts have been awarded. We need to understand AI and harness its true potential. It shouldn’t be like riding a tiger.
