Nitesh Rane’s ‘mini-Pakistan’ remark is appalling. CM Fadnavis, BJP must show him the door

Maharashtra minister Nitesh Rane calling Kerala ‘mini-Pakistan’ and those who voted for Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Vadra ‘terrorists’ displays a hideous mindset. It was unfortunate that BJP rewarded the serial hatemonger with ministership. CM Fadnavis’ and BJP’s silence on his remarks amounts to endorsement. They must show him the door. 

Biren Singh’s apology is a joke. He’s not the leader for Manipur

Biren Singh saying sorry is another of his jokes on Manipur and he’s the only one laughing—in cynicism and contempt. The violence has consumed many lives and left the state ethnically and geographically segregated. It will take an astute and credible leader to fix it. Biren Singh isn’t that. Drift will deepen the disaster.
